Home is where the Heart is.

I did say I would show you my Twisted Sketch today but you will have to wait til tomorrow as I have something very relevant to show you from today. I have been dying to share this project since the weekend.

Many of you know we applied for Immigration to Canada not once but twice, documents were sent back we re-sent they declined because my husband wasnt fit to work, he had the accident at work in Canada I might add! We lost $1500 from that application. It's been a very tough year for us. We picked ourselves up and tried again in April. well today I recieved the papers back again because we didnt write anything in a box that says "Other countries with residents status, well I'm a British citizen and I reside in Canada I ticked both those boxes, I dont reside anywhere else if I'm in Canada do I?
I mean seriously we sent it in April it's now July, cant they pick up the phone and say do you reside anywhere other than Canada? No of course not. So as of June 26th they have changed all these rules & regulations again ( I say again it's a very long story!! ) and before we can send it back we both need have language proficiency tests, well maybe I should just link them up to my blog! I think with English being my first language I shouldnt have too much of a problem.
Oh and this is the best part our Police certificates from the UK are only Valid for 3 months according to Canadian immigration, they have been here for a month and it's certainly not cheap to obtain them!  And by the time they look at our application again it would be October at the earliest. I'm not too sure what could have changed if I havnt stepped foot in the country since 2006!
Anyhoo this has been a 3 year battle for us and we have had enough.  You can apply, oh no wait you cant apply. Oh you dont have this, you dont have that, yes you do, why dont you apply. Oh no wait we just changed the rules now you cant apply. Oh but now you can apply if you spend another $1500 and spend a load more money on health checks, language tests, and more police certificates! AARRRGGGGHHHH!!!

I have a visa for another 2 years and a good job too.so we will most probably see it through before moving on. We will start saving our pennies and get both houses ready for the market.

So now I feel 100% better for getting it off my chest and sharing my story here is my project.

I used the Jazmyne Papers from Bo Bunny. I love all the glitter the whole project is really shimmery IRL.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I value each and every comment even if your a silent visitor! Thanks so much. xx

Your probject is beautiful and so very true. Very cool to see that you are seeing a positive side to all of your troubles. Hang in there Zoe.

That is government for you, stressful, expensive and heartbreaking.

On the good side, your frame is stunning. The houses are amazing Zoe.
